On Audi the same five characters describe a different fault — Audi: "Control module software needs to be updated, Vacuum leaks (intake manifold gaskets, vacuum hoses, PCV hoses, etc.), Mass air flow sensor, Plugged fuel filter or weak fuel pump, Plugged or dirty fuel injectors". A definition copied from a forum for the wrong marque reads perfectly plausibly and sends the diagnosis somewhere unrelated, which is the single most common way manufacturer codes get misused.
